Introduction from Bird & Blend Tea Co.

Perfect for the beach or the back garden, this refreshing, minty and calming drink made with our Deckchair Dreaming herbal blend of chamomile, with hints of crisp apple, will have you dreaming all year round. You can also use any herbal tea, such as our Dozy Girl tea.

Ingredients

8 tsp chamomile tea (we use our DECKCHAIR DREAMING blend)
900ml boiling water
A handful of ice
3 limes
240ml white rum (optional)
Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Method

1

Brew the tea in a Brewdini or tea strainer with the boiling water for 3 minutes. Strain and place in the fridge to cool. Alternatively, you can put the steeping tea in the fridge overnight using a cold brew tea bottle.

2

Once cooled, get your glasses or cocktail shaker and half-fill with the ice.

3

Squeeze the juice of half a lime over the ice. Top up with 50ml of water for a mocktail or 60ml of white rum for a cocktail. Then stir your glass or shake well and pour.

4

To get that extra fresh flavour, take a few mint sprigs and clap them between your hands to release the flavour, then add to each glass. For extra flair and flavour, top with lime wedges.

Tip

This can easily be made as a mocktail to be enjoyed by everyone!
