Ruby Tandoh was just 20 when she entered Great British Bake Off in 2013, a Philosophy and Art History student travelling home to study in between episodes. The enigmatic young cook quickly impressed with her creative approach to ingredients, her baking dishes often signified by unique flavour combinations. After becoming one of the top three finalists that year, Ruby has since become one of the UK's most exciting new names in baking. Ruby is now a weekly food columnist in the Guardian, has written columns for British ELLE and recently published her very first baking cookbook, Crumb, which is available now through Vintage Books. Raised in Southend, Essex, Ruby lives - and bakes - in north London.
