Dominique’s Kitchen

Who’s the author? Dominique Woolf was the winner of Channel 4’s The Great Cookbook Challenge. Her simple, accessible recipes won her a publishing contract with Penguin Michael Joseph. Dominique also has her own food brand, The Woolf’s Kitchen, inspired by her Thai roots and made in London, which sells a range of sauces, condiments and snacks.

What’s it about? While competing in Channel 4’s The Great Cookbook Challenge, Dominique Woolf wowed the judging panel with her simple, accessible, and deeply flavoursome dishes. Influenced by her own South East Asian heritage, Dominique’s flavours are big and bold. Having grown up eating the satays, stir-fries, and noodles cooked by her Thai mum, she knows exactly how to make everyday food taste extraordinary. Her book draws on the varied culinary traditions of South East Asia, showing readers how to inject fresh, vibrant flavours into their cooking. Dominique’s priority is to help readers put delicious food on the table, fast. Like so many of us, she lives a busy life, and her clever, time-saving recipes reflect this – with her own successful business and three children to look after, her focus is always on ease, flavour, and accessibility. Taking part in The Great Cookbook Challenge allowed her to test and hone her dishes to perfection, and the 100+ recipes that feature in the book have all been designed with home cooks in mind. From traybakes and curries to easy rice and noodle dishes, these recipes will revitalise your cookery repertoire.

Recipes we love: Peanut Hoisin Noodles, Fridge Raid Stir-Fried Rice, Pork with Basil, Sticky Chilli Chicken, Sweet Potato and Black Bean Traybake Curry, and Caramelized Pineapple Eton Mess

Perfect for: Busy family cooks in need of fresh midweek meal inspiration, fans of South East Asian flavours, and anyone who wants to cook fresh, tasty food every day of the week.
