Occupation: Food writer and blogger.

Best known for: Her debut cookbook Made in India, as well as occasionally featuring in The Guardian and OFM.

Dishes we love: Salmon and Spinach CurryMum's Chicken Curry and Pomegranate and Fennel Seed Poha are a few of our favourites.

Fun fact: It was only after Meera left Lincolnshire to go to university in London, that she decided to learn to cook realising she didn't know how to make any the dishes she had enjoyed whilst living at home.

Profile

Meera Sodha introduces Britain to the food she grew up eating here every day. Unlike the stuff you get at your local curry house, her food is fresh, vibrant and surprisingly quick and easy to make. 

Meera was born in Lincolnshire to Ugandan Asian parents and with cooking being a huge part of her heritage. Her love for her ancestors’ food and desire to keep their food traditions alive led her to journey back to her mother’s kitchen to capture the recipes from her childhood.
