Introduction
As a tourist in Andalucía, it’s hard to escape sangria, but the locals prefer its simplified cousin, tinto de verano, or ‘wine of summer’. Don’t use expensive wine for this – go for something fruity and non-tannic. La Casera is a Spanish soft drink and is quite tricky to get hold of, but you can approximate it by mixing ordinary lemonade and soda water in equal quantities.
Ingredients
3 | parts red wine |
1 part lemonade or La Casera |
Method
Pour over ice and add orange and/or lemon slices.
