Time for Turmeric
This tasty juice recipe embraces the anti-inflammatory properties of fresh turmeric. The juice goes towards your five a day, with a hint of coriander and lemon.
Introduction
This is a lovely all-round juice, with great anti-inflammatory power. Turmeric is such an amazing spice – whilst fresh is better, it’s not always easy to find. Use whatever form is available to you and add more than the recommended amounts if you want to.
Ingredients
1 | apple |
1 | pear |
1 | carrot |
½ | beetroot |
Small handful | of coriander |
5cm | piece of root ginger |
5-10cm | fresh turmeric or 1-2 tsp ground turmeric |
Juice of 1-2 lemons |
Essential kit
You will need a juicer.
Method
Juice all the ingredients together. If you have fresh turmeric, then juice that too. If not, then stir in the powder at the end. Juice the lemons through the juicer or by using a citrus press or squeezing by hand.
