softened unsalted butter
caster sugar
medium free-range eggs
gluten-free plain flour (or ordinary plain flour if not making gluten-free)
baking powder
milk
rose water
For the icing:
icing sugar
water
green food colouring
dried rose petals or gluten-free wafer roses, to decorate
