Nadiya Hussain’s Corn Chowder

Introduction
My daughter’s absolute favourite dish to eat. She loves it so much I now make it for her two ways.
Ingredients
100g | butter |
3 | onions, diced |
3 | cloves of garlic, minced |
2 tbsp | ground black pepper |
1 tbsp | salt |
1 kg | frozen sweetcorn |
4 tbsp | plain flour |
750ml | whole milk |
chopped fresh chives, to garnish |
Method
Put the butter in a pan and heat till the butter has melted. Add the onion and cook till lovely and soft.
Now add the garlic, black pepper and salt and cook through for a few minutes. Stir in the frozen sweetcorn and cook for a few minutes till the corn has started to thaw out.
Get the flour in and mix through. Pour in the milk and cook over a high heat for a few minutes and then simmer till the whole mixture is lovely and thick.
Serve with a sprinkling of chopped chives.
TIP Why not try this with peas – so different but still really good.
