Introduction

This drink is especially delicious and refreshing when fresh mangoes are in season, but a tasty alternative can easily be made using mango pulp from a tin, which is readily available throughout the year in Asian grocery shops.

Ingredients

2 ripe mangoes, or 300ml mango pulp
280ml buttermilk
10 ice cubes
300ml milk
2 tbsp plain yoghurt
2 tsp caster sugar

Essential kit

You will need a blender.

Method

If you’re using whole mangoes, remove the skin and the stone.

Put all the ingredients into a blender and mix together for about 2 minutes, until smooth.

Serve immediately in a tall glass.
