Who’s the author? Clare Marriage, founder and CEO of organic flour brand Doves Farm and its gluten-free label FREEE, began her gluten-free journey back in 1978, when she and her husband began milling flour. Her mother was advised to follow a gluten-free diet and she soon discovered how difficult it was to find suitable ingredients. Blending naturally gluten-free flours and pursuing her love of baking, Clare began to develop a range of gluten-free foods. Today, FREEE is now the UK’s top gluten-free flour brand, with products stocked in all major supermarkets.

What’s it about? FREEE Baking contains 100 brilliant gluten-free recipes – both sweet and savoury – for every occasion. Expect a comprehensive chapter on cakes, with classics like Victoria sponge, loaf cakes, muffins, and festive bakes like chocolate yule log and Christmas cake. Other chapters cover the likes of biscuits, scones, traybakes, bread, Yorkshire puddings, pancakes, doughnuts, pies, tarts, puddings, pizza, dumplings, and pasta, proving that going gluten-free doesn’t have to mean avoiding your favourite meals.

The book’s introduction also has a useful guide to gluten-free baking, with essential advice on creating gluten-free cakes, breads, and pastry. Written in an easy-to-follow style and extensively tested by Clare herself, these completely delicious recipes will give you inspiration for all your gluten-free baking needs.

Recipes we love: Apple and Blackberry Cake, Lemon Drizzle Traybake, Sun-dried Tomato Bread, Buckwheat Blinis with Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese, Treacle Tart, and Courgette Pizza.

Perfect for: Anyone who wants to make gluten-free versions of their favourite bakes and dishes – either for themselves or their loved ones.
