Cherries have a short season here in the UK, spanning a few weeks across June and July, so make the most of them while you can. While they're delicious eaten just as they are, cherries are wonderful in all sorts of cakes, bakes and puds, whether you're throwing them into a crumble or even a creamy tiramisu.
