Who’s the author? Jonathan Arana-Morton launched the first Breakfast Club with co-founder Alison Rooney in 2005. Starting off in London’s Soho, they have since brought The Breakfast Club’s brand of American-diner-inspired restaurants to multiple locations. Their idea was simple: comforting all-day breakfasts and brunches seasoned with a pinch of 80s nostalgia.

What’s it about? Jonathan’s new cookbook includes dozens of recipes to allow you to recreate classic Breakfast Club dishes at home. Across seven scrumptious chapters – including one dedicated solely to eggs, and another to pancakes – The Breakfast Club shows you how to rustle up delicious dishes, batch-cooked sides and sauces for any time you’re craving brunch.

From elevated greasy-spoon favourites in his wonderfully titled chapter ‘Cafness’, to the quintessential Americana of ‘The Great American Diner’, this cookbook is all about delicious and uplifting food

And it’s not all guilty pleasures; the ‘Rise & Shine’ chapter has brilliant ideas for overnight oats, porridge, smashed avocado and even a breakfast sundae. You’ll also find fresh ideas for what to drink with your newly perfected brunches, too, from Marmalade Margaritas to Pink Maple Lemonade.

Recipes we love: Ham, Egg & Chips Benedict, Lemon Meringue Pancakes, Philly Cheese Patty Melt, Banana Bread with Roasted Peaches, and Vegan Chorizo.

Perfect for: Lovers of breakfast and brunch dishes, whatever time of day.
