Bored of Lunch Air-Fried Baked Camembert

This quick and easy air fryer camembert from Bored of Lunch is the perfect dish to serve to guests at Christmas. We love adding the optional truffle oil to make it extra special.

Introduction

A baked Camembert immediately makes me think of Christmas, but I think this works all year round and will often serve it with a salad during summer. Ready in just 12 minutes, it’s the ultimate party snack and couldn’t be easier. While this is a great sharing dish, it also makes a lovely indulgent starter for just two on date night.

Ingredients

1 x 250g Camembert (ideally boxed)
1 tbsp truffle oil (optional)
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
toasted bread, to serve

Essential kit

You will need: an air fryer.

Method

Remove the plastic from around the cheese and place it back in its box, lined with some foil or greaseproof paper. Drizzle the cheese with the truffle oil, if using, place it in the air fryer basket and top the cheese with the honey, chilli flakes and thyme. If your Camembert didn’t come in a wooden box, place it in a heatproof ceramic dish that fits in the air fryer. Air-fry for 12 minutes at 160°C.

Remove from the air fryer and serve the cheese in its box as it’s very delicate and special!

Serve with toasted bread for dipping.

Calories per serving: 220 calories.

Tip: Use two long strips of greaseproof paper in a cross under the cheese box to help when removing the cheese from the air fryer basket.
