Best known for: Her mouth-watering writing in olive, delicious. magazine, the Observer, Literary Review and the Daily Mail. She is also the New Statesman's food columist and the author of Perfect and Perfect Host, and The A-Z of Eating.

Dishes we love: Carbonara, Roquefort and Honey Cheesecake with Walnut and Pear, Espresso Fig and Walnut Muffins and the chocolate alternative to the Christmas pudding, Plum Pudding Bombe.

Fun fact: She was named Food Journalist of the Year and won the New Media of the Year Award at the 2011 Guild of Food Writers Awards. Her latest cookbook, The A-Z of Eating was also shortlisted for an André Simon Award.

Felicity Cloake is a journalist and food writer from London. She writes for the Daily Mail, olive, delicious. Magzine, the Observer, Literary ReviewNew Statesman, and writes the weekly columns 'How to Make the Perfect...' in the Guardian.

Her column 'How to Make the Perfect..." sees Felicity testing recipes from all the greats – Elizabeth David and Delia Smith to Nigel Slater and Simon Hopkinson – before pulling together the best points from each to create the perfect version classic dishes. 

The recipes in her latest book, The A-Z of Eating are all themed around Felicity's favourite ingredients (A is for Almond, B is for Blue Cheese, C is for Caramel and so on).
