Who’s the author?: Nadiya Hussain shot to fame during 2015 series of The Great British Bake Off. Since being crowned the winner, she has released six bestselling cookbooks, presented the accompanying cookery shows on BBC2, co-created a series of children’s books, written a memoir and even baked the queen’s 90th birthday cake. Recently awarded an MBE for services to broadcasting and the culinary arts, Nadiya has achieved national treasure status.

What’s it about?:  In her latest cookbook, Nadiya’s Everyday Baking, Nadiya Hussain is on a mission to prove that baking isn’t just about picture-perfect drip cakes or trays of identical cookies. A baking book like no other on your shelf, it’ll teach you how to incorporate baking into your everyday cooking to create midweek dinners, speedy traybakes and simple snacks that leave the hard work to the oven. You’ll also find plenty of inspired sweet bakes too, from desserts and teatime treats to celebration cakes.

Recipes we love: Aubergine Brioche Burgers, Dump-it-all-in Mexican Dinner, Coconut Fish Noodles, Meringue Cake and Cheat’s Almond Croissant Rolls.

Perfect book for: Packed with family favourites, easy midweek meals and plenty of clever tips and tricks, Nadiya’s Everyday Baking is a book for all cooks, not just keen bakers.
