by Rachel Deeley

published on 18 September 2024

Fans of Jamie Oliver have much to look forward to this year. Not only does 2024 mark 25 years since The Naked Chef first appeared on our screens, but it will also see the release of an exciting new cookbook.

Published 26th September 2024, Simply Jamie is all about celebrating the joy of food – even when life gets in the way. Whether you’ve fallen out of love with cooking, or simply need fresh inspiration for your weeknight (and weekend) meals, this cookbook will have you back in the kitchen and creating fresh, delicious meals that fit in with a busy schedule.

Here are the details we can share so far about Simply Jamie, including the key chapters, accompanying TV series, and a sneak peek at some of the delicious recipes you can expect to find inside.

1. Simply Jamie is tailor-made for busy home cooks. Flick through the dedicated Midweek Meal chapter for easy weeknight dinners and work-from-home lunches, or take some time on a Sunday to cook from the Weekend Wins chapter, where you’ll find delicious, hearty dishes that make versatile leftovers for the week (and months) ahead, like the freezer-friendly Batch-It-Up Bolognese.

2. Of the more than 130 recipes inside, you’ll find dinners you can have on the table within 20 minutes, easy no-cook pasta sauces, and a whole chapter full of ‘Trusty Traybake’ recipes, including a Gochujang Chicken Noodle Traybake and Roasted Veg with Camembert Fondue.

3. Fancy satisfying your sweet tooth? With a whole chapter dedicated to ‘Perfect Puds’, there are plenty of fantastic dessert recipes too, including a Hot & Crispy Ice Cream Parcel and Epic Sticky Toffee Pudding.

4. This cookbook is full of clever tips for using leftovers and reimagining staple ingredients, such as Jamie’s recipe for 8 Cool Ways with Salmon. Better still, you can save yourself a trip to the shops by turning to the ‘Cupboard Love’ chapter, which is full of flavour-packed meals that use store-cupboard heroes – from tinned beans to tortillas.

5. Simply Jamie will be accompanied by a Channel 4 TV series this autumn. In previous years, we’ve seen Jamie whip up five-ingredient Mediterranean meals, one-pan wonders, and memorable family feasts, so we can’t wait to see which of the recipes from Simply Jamie he’ll bring to life on-screen.
