Three ingredient bakes

by Jessica Lockyer-Palmer

published on 20 March 2020

In difficult times, we can find such solace in baking, both the process of making something and the reward of eating it at the end. But as the supermarket shelves empty out, recipes that call for long and complicated lists of ingredients may no longer be viable. That's where Sarah Rainey's ingenious Three Ingredient Baking comes in. Using store cupboard basics and a little alchemy, you can still whip up your favourite cookies or a cake to bring much-needed cheer. Can't get hold of eggs? Try the shortbread rounds or magic scones. Struggling to find flour? Skip to the gooey chocolate cake or peanut butter cookies.
