Summer Spritz
Nothing says summer like a Aperol spritz and this version is a delicious twist on the classic fizz cocktail with the addition of elderflower liqueur and fresh grapefruit juice.
Introduction
I often say that every season is spritz season, but they taste just a little better in the summer. There’s nothing better than enjoying a bubbly spritz while dining alfresco or lounging by the pool. While a classic Aperol or Hugo spritz are both great choices, this combination of both – with a hint of bright citrus – is one of my favourites.

| ¾fl oz (25ml) | Aperol |
| ½fl oz (15ml) | fresh grapefruit juice |
| ½fl oz (15ml) | elderflower liqueur |
| 3fl oz (90ml) | Prosecco, chilled |
| 1fl oz (30ml) | club soda (soda water) |
| To garnish | |

| edible flower (optional) |
Method
Fill a large wine glass with ice.
Pour in the Aperol, grapefruit juice, elderflower liqueur, and Prosecco.
Top with club soda, then stir to combine.
Garnish with a grapefruit slice and serve immediately.
