Who’s the author? Carolina Gelen is a recipe developer and food content creator, whose recipes have resonated with millions of home cooks. Her cooking style draws heavily from her upbringing in a small town in Transylvania, Romania, where she learned to create resourceful recipes for everyday cooking using simple ingredients. She emigrated to the US in 2021 and before long was working in the kitchens of award-winning chefs, developing her own video and recipe content for New York Times Cooking and building an online community of followers. Pass the Plate is her first book.
