Who’s the author? Romy Gill MBE is a British/Indian chef, food and travel writer and broadcaster who has earned widespread acclaim for her innovative approach to Indian cooking. She has made numerous TV and radio programmes in the UK, including The One Show, James Martin’s Saturday Morning, Celebrity MasterChef, Channel 4’s Packed Lunch and the Food Programme and Women’s Hour on BBC Radio 4.

Romy has also contributed to a number of publications, including BBC Food, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The New York Times, OcadoLife, Saveur Magazine, and Food & Wine. In 2019, she released her debut cookbook, Zaika: Vegan Recipes from India, which received widespread acclaim.
