Fans of Rukmini Iyer rejoice! The author of the The Roasting Tin series is back with a brand-new cookbook packed with trademark traybakes, simple shortcuts and fast tracks to flavour. India Express is Rukmini’s most personal cookbook to date with a set of 75 recipes inspired by the vibrant flavours of her South Indian and Bengali heritage. As you’d expect from the doyenne of the fuss-free midweek meal, the dishes are simple, accessible and full of flavour, spanning one-tin curries, one-pan suppers, easy rice dishes, simple snacks and much more.
To celebrate the release of India Express, Sainsbury’s has partnered with the UK’s favourite recipe box service, Gousto, to offer one lucky winner the chance to bag a six-month subscription and a copy of the book. Please see the terms and conditions for more information on the prize.

- By entering this competition, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of the terms and conditions of this competition.
- All entrants must be over the age of 18, able to supply proof of ID upon request and must be a resident in the United Kingdom.
- The competition opens on 12 September 2022 and closes at midnight on 30th November 2022. Entries received after the closing time will not be considered.
- The prize is for 1 winner to win a six-month subscription to Gousto’s four-recipe box and a copy of India Express. The subscription will begin on 1 January 2023 and end on 30 June 2023. The winner will be able to log in and select their choice of recipes for the duration of the subscription. If the winner does not update the account with their own payment details, the subscription will be cancelled and the account closed on 1 July 2023.
- Events may occur which render the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and the promoter may, at its absolute discretion, vary, amend or suspend the competition with or without notice. We reserve the right to change the prize at any time during or after the competition.
- The competition will be judged by the promoter within 24 hours of the closing date and the winners will be notified by email before 2nd December 2023. 1 winner will be picked at random from all qualifying entries received.
- The winner agrees to the promoter’s use of their name in relation to the promoter’s publicity material.
- Your personal details will only be retained and used by the Promoter in order to contact you if you have won the prize and will be deleted thereafter unless you have ticked the appropriate box. Any use will be in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
