For fans of Rukmini Iyer’s cookbooks everywhere, September is set to be a happy month; Rukmini’s latest cookbook hits shelves mid-month, packed with trademark traybakes, simple shortcuts and fast tracks to flavour. In India Express, Rukmini hones in on her culinary heritage to create a set of 75 recipes inspired by the vibrant flavours of South India and Bengal. As you’d expect from the queen of the fuss-free midweek meal, the dishes are simple, accessible and full of flavour, spanning one-tin curries, one-pan suppers, easy rice dishes, simple snacks and much more.
To celebrate the upcoming release of India Express, we’re offering one lucky winner the chance to bag the full set of Rukmini’s cookbooks (including India Express) as well as a pair of tickets to see Rukmini Iyer on her upcoming book tour. The winner can choose to see Rukmini at The Portobello Bookshop in Edinburgh on 22nd September or Henley Literary Festival on 7th October. We will also reimburse mainland UK transport costs to the event. Please see the terms and conditions for more information on the prize.

- By entering this competition, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of the terms & conditions of this competition.
- All entrants must be over the age of 18, able to supply proof of ID upon request and must be a resident in the United Kingdom.
- The competition opens on 19 August 2022 and closes at midnight on 14th September 2022. Entries received after the closing time will not be considered.
- The prize is for 1 winner to win the full set of Rukmini Iyer cookbooks: The Roasting Tin, The Green Roasting Tin, The Quick Roasting Tin, The Roasting Tin Around the World, The Green Barbecue, The Sweet Roasting Tin and India Express. The prize also includes two tickets to see Rukmini Iyer on tour at either Portobello Bookshop in Edinburgh on 22nd Septmber or Henley Literary Festival on 7th October. Reasonable mainland UK bus, rail or car travel costs to and from the event location will be reimbursed up to a maximum of £100 on receipt of proof of purchase for petrol costs or taxi/bus/train fares. No cash alternative will be offered as a prize.
- Events may occur which render the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and the promoter may, at its absolute discretion, vary, amend or suspend the competition with or without notice. We reserve the right to change the prize at any time during or after the competition.
- The competition will be judged by the promoter within 24 hours of the closing date and the winners will be notified by email before 15th September 2022. 1 winner will be picked at random from all qualifying entries received. Given the time sensitivity of the prize, the winner will need to claim their prize within 48 hours or a different winner will be selected and the prize will be forfeited.
- The winner agrees to the promoter’s use of their name in relation to the promoter’s publicity material.
- Your personal details will only be retained and used by the Promoter in order to contact you if you have won the prize and will be deleted thereafter unless you have ticked the appropriate box. Any use will be in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the competition.
