Slow Cooker Mulled Wine
Serve mulled wine for a crowd with ease this Christmas with this easy recipe that uses a slow cooker to keep it warm while serving.
Introduction
The scrumptious aroma of this winter warmer filling the house is Christmas for me! This mulled wine is perfect if you’re entertaining because it’s so easy. Your guests will love it and I bet they will ask for the recipe. Whenever you’re running low, simply add another bottle; just replace the lid for a while as it warms up.
Ingredients
3 bottles | of red wine |
2 shots of | brandy |
peel of 1 | large orange, plus extra for serving |
10 | cloves |
2 | cinnamon sticks |
2 tbsp | maple syrup |
a handful of | fresh cranberries |
Essential kit
You will need a slow cooker.
Method
Combine all the ingredients in your slow cooker and stir. Cook on low for at least 3 hours, or as long as you need (keep the lid closed until you’re ready to serve).
Serve in heatproof glasses, with a slice of orange peel on the rim.
