1. By entering this prize draw, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of the terms & conditions of this prize draw.
2. This prize draw is open to anyone aged 18 or over who is a resident of the UK, except for employees of the promoter, its group companies, its subsidiary companies, their families and any other company connected with the prize draw
3. Entries must be received by 15 July 2026 23:59 BST. Entries that are illegible, incomplete, corrupted or which fail to be received by the closing date for any reason, will not be counted. The promoter is not responsible for entries delayed or lost in the post. Automatically generated entries or entries via agents or third parties are invalid and shall not be counted.
4. Only one entry per person. No entrant may win more than one prize.
5. To enter, pre-order Eat The Food You Buy by Martyn Odell, ISBN 9780241776865 from any UK book shop including independent retailers, Waterstones, Amazon, WHSmith and supermarkets and fill out the following form with your details. Please retain your proof of purchase (a pre-order receipt or invoice) as if you are selected as a winner, you will be asked to send us this proof of pre-order in order to claim your prize. Please do not include any banking or card details with your proof of purchase.
6. All correctly completed entries will be entered into a prize draw which will take place on 17 July 2026. the first 2 winners drawn will receive either the microwave oven or fridge. And final 4 winners drawn will each win cooking class with Martyn Odell at Smeg’s Oxfordshire Showroom
7. The prize is either a Smeg Microwave Oven with Oven, Airfry & Grill, or a Smeg Iconic FAB28 Fridge, or a Cooking Class For Two With Martyn Odell at Smeg’s Oxfordshire Showroom. Winners can pick their preferred appliance colour but limited edition finishes are excluded (e.g. Dolce & Gabbana, Porsche). Subject to stock availability. FAB prize refers to FAB28 60cm model only. Prizes can not be exchanged for cash value. Ingredients and equipment will be provided at the cooking class, the winner should make any dietary requirements known to the promoter. Travel to the cooking class and accommodation is not included in the prize value. Two winners will receive either the microwave oven or fridge, and four winners will be picked for the cooking class, they will each win a pair of tickets.
8. The cooking class will take place on dates and times to be confirmed by the Promoter. Should the winners not be able to make these dates, no alternative dates will be possible and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to a substitute winner.
9. The prize is non-transferrable and no cash alternative will be offered.
10. Events may occur which render the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and the promoter may, at its absolute discretion, vary, amend, suspend or withdraw the prize with or without notice.
11. The winner will be notified via email within 14 days of the closing date(i.e. by 31 July). The winner must claim their prize within 30 days of the promoter sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules.
12. Other than those specified above, the promoter shall not be liable for any costs or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with this prize and does not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by the winner as result of accepting this prize.
