To celebrate the publication of Anna Ansari’s stunning new book Silk Roads, we’ve teamed up with Netherton Foundry to give you the chance to win a fabulous Prospector pan featured in the book.
Silk Roads tells the story of the world’s most famous trade routes through food. Iranian-American cook and writer Anna Ansari weaves together essays, family photographs, and 90 vibrant recipes to create a culinary, historical, and deeply personal journey across the Silk Roads.
Discover dishes from Baku to Beijing: Azeri-Iranian stews with crispy-bottomed rice, dill-infused noodles from western Uzbekistan, Georgian cornbread, Uyghur lamb chops, and an array of dumplings, from fat, spiraled oromo to delicate saffron-broth dushbara. You’ll also find refreshing drinks and sharbats, as well as American-inspired desserts with a twist: apple pie with quince, sticky persimmon pudding, and walnut-studded blondies.
Netherton Foundry’s Shropshire-made 10 inch Prospector pan is the perfect hob to oven to table pan, it is incredibly versatile, hardworking and beautiful. Made from spun iron, double handled, oven safe, it is pre-seasoned with flax oil for a natural non-stick finish. Perfect for range stoves, open fires, wood burning ovens, electric, gas, ceramic, halogen and induction hobs.
