Who’s the author? Sohla El-Waylly is an American chef, recipe developer and video producer who you might recognise from the vast array of food columns and video series she writes and stars in. She studied at the Culinary Institute of America and trained at various restaurants in New York, including Atera and Del Posto. Previously an assistant food editor and featured YouTube presenter for Bon Appétit, Sohla went on to collaborate with Andrew Rea on his Babish Culinary Universe YouTube Channel, before featuring in shows on the History Channel, New York Times Cooking YouTube, and HBO Max’s The Big Brunch, as well as writing a weekly column for Food52.
